Modern Design

In the Little Tuscany area of Palm Springs lays this gem, The Leslie House originally designed by modernist architect E. Stewart Williams in 1977.  E. Stewart Williams helped define desert modern style. Notable works include the upper mountain station of Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, the Palm Springs Desert Museum, and Frank Sinatra’s Palm Springs residence.

In 2013, Architectural Digest published New York designer, Michael Johnston endeavored to redesign the home true to Williams' original footprint. Johnston's design effortlessly combined eco-friendly materials with top-of-the-line technology.

Luxury

The motorized Vari-Slide™ in the living area glides open and shut at the push of a button. All of the hardware is mounted flush. If you look closely, you’ll notice that there are no visible handles or pulls on the doors – giving the appearance of a moving glass wall.

The concept of a moving glass wall is a growing trend in modern residential design, and for good reason – seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces is just one of many posh perks of this automated door system. Vari-Slide™ doors were installed throughout the Leslie House; in the master bedroom, kitchen and guest bedrooms.

These doors allow for increased natural lighting with lower thermal transfer.
